Starting 15 July- Due to the fact Lebanon is bordered by Syria from North and East it makes It very easy to combine the 2 destinations in one trip.

Once you are in Baalbeck it only takes two hours drive to be in Damascus.

Although the two countries share many cultures every city  has its  own feeling and its own characteristics which differentiate it from any other place.

Syria is often described as the largest small country in the world because of its wealth of ancient civilization, it witnessed a long succession of historic dynasties: Hellenistic conquerors founded the cities of Latakia and Apamea, the nomadic Nabateans from Petra settled in the south, imperial Romans established their Provincial Arabia, and the Byzantines left a legacy of basilicas throughout the land.

We assure you a trip for these two countries will be equivalent to hundreds trips over the world due to its diversity.

Day 01: BEIRUT AIRPORT - BEIURT
Upon arrival, AL AWAEL TRAVEL Representative will meet you at baggage claim after immigrations and customs. We will escort you to your vehicle for transfer to the hotel and provide check in assistance. Overnight at the hotel in Beirut.

Day 02: BAALBECK TOUR + SYRIA
After breakfast, venture through Lebanon's countryside to Baalbek, also called Heliopolis. The site is a dedication to the gods of Jupiter, Venus and Mercury, and was classed a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. This ancient site is largely made up of semi-crumbled temples built by the Romans, including the massive Temple of Jupiter, the best-preserved Roman ruin in Lebanon. Afterwards you will be driven toward the Lebanese/Syrian borders to reach Damascus The car will get you to the hotel in Old Damascus to meet the guide and have a break. The tour starts with the guide taking you to The Umayyad Mosque, which is the best example of Arabic Islamic architecture that dates back to the 8th century A.D; The tour will also include a stroll in the old Souks to enjoy the oriental fragrance, A break for lunch, visiting a street called Al-Moustakim which was mentioned in the Bible and St. Ananias church; Then you will head back to the hotel to spend the night in Damascus.

Day 03: MAALOULA - KRACK DES CHEVALIERS
Another delicious breakfast, then you head to Ma’loula, the only village that still speaks Aramaic, the language of Jesus, to visit the monasteries of St. Takla and St. Sergios and Bakhous; You’ll continue your trip by visiting one of the most important medieval castles in the world: Krak Des Chevaliers in Homs; Finally, you’ll go to Al Mishtaya to visit St. Georges Monastery and spend the night in Al Mishtaya.

DAY 04: HAMA - APAMEA AND ALEPPO
After breakfast, we will move to Hama to visit the seventeen large Norias that Syria famous for, the old alleys, then head to Apamea; the ancient Greek and Roman city founded in 300 BC. Afterwards, we will drive to Aleppo to spend the day and overnight

Day 05: ALEPPO

After having a delicious breakfast, it’s time to visit one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world, where you will visit its mighty castle, in addition to its mansions, khans and its historical souks; then you will have special activity at the monastery of roman catholic and try the traditional food.

Day 06: DAMASCUS - ANJAR AND KSARA
Your last breakfast in Syria you will have free time and then you will get transferred to Syrian / Lebanese borders to continue your tour. Drive to Anjar and explore the town's showpiece – the Umayyad ruins. Wander through this fascinating complex: remnants of an 8th-century palace city ruled by the Ummayad dynasty; ruined temples, arcades and gates built in Hellenistic and Roman style. At the end you will have a tour of Ksara Winery where you will visit the caves and have a wine tasting. Return to Beirut for an overnight stay.

Day 07: JEITA - HARISSA AND BYBLOS

You will be driven north to visit Jeita Grotto, the jewel of tourism in Lebanon, where 2 limestone crystallized grottoes characterized by extraordinary concretions of stalactites and stalagmites sculpted naturally in different forms, sizes and colors are found.

You will continue your tour to reach Byblos, the "oldest continuously inhabited city the world" to visit the famous Crusader castle and discovering some beautiful churches and the old souks.

Then proceed to Harissa where you will see the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, which is a Marian shrine and a pilgrimage site in Lebanon. In addition, you will enjoy a panoramic view of Jounieh Bay using the cable cars from Harissa to Jounieh.

Back to the city and overnight in Beirut.

Day 08: BATROUN AND TRIPOLI

After breakfast, you will start your tour by visiting Tripoli.

The history of Tripoli dates back at least to the 14th century BCE. The city is well known for containing the Mansouri Great Mosque and the largest Crusader fortress in Lebanon, the Citadel of Raymond de Saint-Gilles. It has the second highest concentration of Mamluk architecture after Cairo.

Afterwards, you will head to the charming coastal town of Batroun which was a flourishing city and port in Phoenician times (3000 - 64 BC), as you’ll discover on a vespa it’s old souks and the famous Phoenician wall. Back to Beirut and overnight.

Day 09: DEPARTURE
After breakfast drive to Beirut airport for departure. Hope to see you again!
